Solution: add to your joyconfig a delete option of old ".cfg" file with same "id" found before creating the new file. Retroarch rather used old ".cfg" file as the "new one". If there is a ".cfg" file allready a same device "id" in /usr/share/libretro/autoconfig/udev/: It s create a nice file with hotkey for exit etc. Script work well for create new input entry Hope all this will help you to fix issues I have try input/retroarch/config all the day and i can say it s a pain ! So this is what i call the good and the bad You would have the exchange the starter from retroarch -L mupen64plus_libretro.so to mupen64plus, while the watchdog process watching for you to end the game might probably have to be set to mupen64plus_exynos5. If you want to use mupen64plus instead of the retoarch core you would have to modify the n64-xbmc script. If you want to use the LCD kit you also need the script to start it, or else the videos won't be shown. These startscipts are normally rather important as many emulators outside of retroarch do not support the same input, mupen64plus for example does not have an exit button option, only ESC works to exit the emulator, that is why I map the ESC key to a button on the controller. Still the n64-xbmc or libretro-xbmc should be used to start ROMS as it starts the background service that maps the ESC key to the controller, as well as fixing some vsync issue with N64 emulators. That script is there to autoconfigure screen resolution and running the correct binary for the current system (there are different ODROID models and I have different binaries optimized for the different boards). # The RetroPie Project is the legal property of its developers, whose names are OMX’s HW encoding is 10x more efficient on all fronts, so make doubly sure you are using OMX player.# This file is part of The RetroPie Project VLC will seriously chomp your AA’s in that GPi, and get the Zero really hot. Super duper handy for those jumping into a huge ROM list for the first few times. If you press “A” on that current video, it will auto-launch that game!
Lastly, while the videos are playing, you can press “Right” on the D-Pad, and it’ll auto-jump to the next video. So, to remedy this, simply turn on OMX to play videos in screensaver settings, as well as “Other Settings”. Not only does VLC kind of wash out the video clarity, but it uses Software-based video encoding, which is exponentially more taxing on a processor, namely the Zero, which, in turn, will subtract heavy battery life if left idle playing a video. If you have OMX set to “Off” anywhere in your EmulationStation, VLC will be subbed in to play the videos. If you have videos scraped to your gamelist setup, should give you the great results.īig tip: USE OMX. I normally have video screensaver start after 3min of inactivity.
